Transportation Services for Health Care
Neighborhood Health Center is dedicated to helping the local residents get accessible health care, and this includes making sure you are able to make it to your appointment with us on time. For patients that qualify, bus vouchers are available or we also have a gas card program if you do not have access to public transportation.
Owning your own vehicle can only take you so far if income is tight. Don’t prolong the wait for your doctor visits because of lack of funds. Neighborhood Health Center provides gas cards to patients that qualify. One of our goals is to enable local residents to be proactive about their health—helping you get to your appointment is just one way we fulfill this.
Neighborhood Health Center has partnered with Rose View Transit and Union County Transit to provide bus transportation. Our 10th Street Clinic in Richmond is located next to a bus stop, which means that from whatever location you take the bus, there’s bound to be a route that will take you to our doorsteps. In Liberty, Union County Transit will provide door to door services for patients.
Putting Patient Care First
Here at Neighborhood Health Center, our compassion and genuine care are what set us apart from other health centers. Our clinic is comprised of the best providers in the area, but we don’t just stop there. We go beyond just setting up your appointments and having our providers see you. We have thorough care coordination with our professionals going to your appointments to coordinate communication between you, your provider, and your caregivers. They will also make sure you have the additional resources you need to keep you healthy.
For patients whose primary language is Spanish, we offer a certified, medical translation service at no additional cost to the patient. Our navigator will assist the patient with registration paperwork, obtaining eligibility services and interpretation during their medical visits.
