Important Patient Resources For Our Community

Neighborhood Health Center is more than just a health care provider, we have amazing patient resources to help you every step of the way. Patient care is of utmost importance to us, so you can count on us to connect you with the health care you need at affordable prices.

Spanish Interpretation

For patients whose primary language is Spanish, we offer a certified, medical translation service at no additional cost to the patient.  Our interpreter will assist the patient with registration paperwork, obtaining eligibility services, and interpretation during their medical visits.

Prescription assistance

If you are struggling to afford your medications or would just like to save money each month, Neighborhood Health Center can assist with prescription drug costs through our partnership with Medicenter Pharamcy. Ask a team member how we can help you stay well.

Outreach & Enrollment Specialists

We have Outreach & Enrollment Specialists on staff to help you navigate the insurance application process. They have experience navigating the complicated system and have access to tools to review insurance plans that will fit your budget and health care needs. They can also help with SNAP and TANF applications.

We offer a sliding fee discount as additional assistance in case you need help with out of pocket costs such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.

My Chart Patient Portal

Neighborhood Health Center utilizes Epic as the electronic medical record. One significant advantage for our patients is the My Chart patient portal. It allows our patients to communicate with their provider, access test results, request prescription refills, pay their bills, and manage appointments during times that are convenient to you.

Patient Advocates

Our Patient Advocates assist patients with a variety of needs including transportation assistance, filing out paperwork, medication assistance, and other resource needs like utilities, food, clothing and housing.

Financial Assistance

Healthcare is expensive. Cost and financial situation should never be the reason why patients cannot obtain care. Neighborhood Health Center believes that all patients and all members of our community should receive regardless of ability to pay. With our financial aid, you and your loved ones will be able to see a provider whenever you need to. Don’t let finances be the reason to keep you from being the healthiest version of you possible.

Our mission is to promote health and wellness through access and affordability for all members of our community. As part of this mission, we also provide a sliding fee schedule to primary and behavioral health patients who are at or below 200% of the poverty level.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 765-965-4299.
